I was called out to do a review on it, so here it is.  Originally, a light novel series by Yuu Kamiya, No Game No Life is a fun anime about a brother and sister gamer duo who get sucked into another world.  The twist, they don’t want to find a way home, they want to conquer the world they got sucked into!  The only bad thing I have to say about the anime is that it’s way too short.  Hopefully as more novels get released, another season will be aired.

In my opinion, when an artist’s work becomes anime, a lot gets lost.  Thankfully, Kamiya’s unique illustration style shines just as brightly in the anime as the novels.  No Game No Life is a very colorful show in both the animation and the writing.  There are many gamer in-jokes, as well as cute general humor that anyone would enjoy.

I watched the show in both Japanese and English.  The localization was done by Sentai Filmworks.  They had some sub-par dubs in the past, but in my opinion, this one is pretty good.  The gamer jokes are not butchered, and the voices fit the characters well.

I watch a lot of anime, then forget about it.  No Game No Life is memorable.  I’m collecting the novels and got a few cute keychains, but I really hope I find an artbook for it.  The art is crazy good.  Check it out, it’s well worth it.  A must watch for any anime fan.

Thanks for reading!
